The final phase of building an All Vets Memorial has begun. In August 2006 the Sunset Hills Veteran's Memorial Committee formed a plan. The first phase and initial cornerstone project was to purchase and permanently install a replica of the Vietnam Wall. This was completed and dedicated on May 24, 2008. Many thanks to all who donated and worked on this project.
To finish the Veteran Memorial area, The All Area Veterans Wall, is coming to fruition. This final phase will honor all area service men and women who were killed, wounded or missing in action. It will also include honoring any who have served our Country in any branch of the military.
This second wall consists of two 100 foot wings with a 7 foot centerpiece. This is directly south and parallel to the existing Vietnam Wall. The two 100 foot wings will be covered with individual memorial 4 inch by 12 inch black granite tiles. To order your individualized tile, please download the order form here.
